Last years recap plus this years expectations

What a unbelievable year last year was for the Memphis Grizzlies, they finished the regular season with a 56-26 record and the 5th seed in the Western Conference after trading there leading scorer and play maker Rudy Gay away to the Toronto Raptors.

Nobody new what to expect when the playoffs came around and they were lined up to play there rivals again, the LA Clippers. They trailed in the series 2-0 and then eventually took the series by winning the next four games in a row. They then faced off against the Oklahoma City Thunder, they also got down in this series 1-0 but then they came back and won four straight again. Heading to the Western Conference Final for the first time in franchise history they played the San Antonio Spurs and got swept in four games.

This years expectations are even bigger for the Grizzlies but know one can really figure out what's going to happen after the shocking firing of their head coach Lionel Hollins. They decided to hire the head assistant David Joerger to be the next head coach. Player wise they added some great parts plus resigned some key players. They first added Kosta Kofus via a trade from the Denver Nuggets for Darrell Arthur, then they signed the veteran 3-point shooter Mike Miller and signed back up point guard Nick Calathes. They also brought back starting shooting guard/defensive stopper Tony Allen and back up shooter Jarred Bayless.

Big things are expected again for the Memphis Grizzlies, lets see if they can stay healthy and make that next push and play for the NBA Championship.
